This past spring I had the opportunity to design a poster and invitation for my friend Jessica. (You will know her best for her cute DIY Polka Dot Pants and Nuvintage Nails!) As you you might be able to guess, she is quite the creative/artist!

Jessica graduated this past May with a BAS in Art. She was required to have a senior show to display her artwork. SO…she was in need of some invitations and a poster. :)

Designing the invites and posters for Jessica was fun because I was able to incorporate her personal artwork within the design.

I love this pretty/funky/adorable girl she drew and that she chose to feature it on her design. I really think having her own artwork on an invite to view her artwork MADE the design.

tripletsThis is a TRIPLE fun post for me! (haha!) I absolutely loved designing this birth announcement for the Huckins family.

Lindsay (AKA the Super Mom!) had a brilliant idea to have a tri-fold announcement making sure baby Holland, Henry and Hazelle had their own page.

I have a special place in my heart for tri-folds (probably because Brandon and I had one for our wedding invite!) so I was excited to get started on the design. Plus, you just don’t see them that often in the invitation or baby announcement world so I think they add a fun element of surprise when the envelope is opened. :)

Be sure to check out more of their beautiful newborn photos by Natasha Brown! They were just perfect for the birth announcement and they captured the love and joy this little family has for their three newest family members.

Now, back to the invitation…ha!

I L-O-V-E-D working on this invitation for Abby and Chris! First of all, Abby is one of the sweetest people I have ever met so talking with her about her wedding and getting an idea of what her vision for that day was, was just fun!abby-chrisAbby and Chris wanted their day to be about romance. One of the words that really stuck out to me with our beginning conversations was “enchantment”. My goal was to set a tone for whimsical romance with their invitation.

After attending their wedding I couldn’t help but leave feeling all the mushy-love-goodness! Everything from the vows, first kiss and their first dance!

Big thanks to Abby and Chris for letting me be a part of their special day by designing the wedding invite! I had so much fun. Congratulations on your new life together full of love and laughter! :)

In early spring this year Brandon’s brother proposed to his lovely girlfriend. This was such an exciting time! Our whole family felt so blessed to be gaining such an amazing new sister and daughter.

With the engagement came the wedding planning and I knew exactly what I wanted to do for them. Design their wedding invitations, duh! :)

I had so much fun looking and brainstorming with Candace learning what she envisioned for these invites and her wedding.

One of the things I love about wedding invitations is that they are kind of like a sneak preview of the wedding. I feel like these represented their wedding so well. From the burlap to the layers and details. This was one amazing wedding!

I also had the great privilege of designing their Save the Dates! Candace and Justin got married at the Texas Rangers Ballpark. They are such a fun couple!

Congratulations to Candace and Justin! I am so thrilled for the two of you. Thank you for this fun opportunity to be a part of your wedding!

PS – aren’t their engagement pictures so cute?! Check out the amazing Natasha Brown’s photos of their engagement session HERE.

Cara went to school at Dallas Baptist University with my best friend Ashley. Ashley graduated this last May so you may remember the graduation announcement I did for her. When Cara saw Ashley’s announcement she asked who did them and she passed along my info!

I had met Cara once or twice while hanging out at DBU and I was always impressed by the sweet and friendly presence she carried with her. When she contacted me I was so excited to be able to do this for her.

She is (OBVIOUSLY!) a beautiful girl and she has great taste (Yep, I stalked her pinterest board. It just happens! Plus, it always gives me a great idea of what a person may like or dislike. I highly recommend it. Haha!). I loved the photo she sent and her idea to incorporate the beautiful turquoise of her earrings into the design.

Thank you, Cara for this fun opportunity to design this announcement for an amazing milestone in your life. Congratulations on the graduation and all the fun that is awaiting you! :)

I had the great honor of getting to design my Sister-in-Laws baby shower invitation and I just could not wait to share it on here! I love all things girly so I was really excited when it was my duty to be in charge of invitations. :)

She and her husband will be welcoming a baby girl in early September and I know she is going to be so sweet and beautiful!

My favorite thing about this design were the hanging butterflies. I was inspired by the idea of a nursery mobile.

I am so excited to meet sweet little Maggie Mae soon!
