I am so excited to be a contributor for the December issue of N.E.E.T. Magazine.
Stephanie J (editor of N.E.E.T. magazine) asked me if I’d be interested in creating a holiday look for her magazine after she saw my nails on The Beauty Department. I was so excited!!!
What stuck out to me about N.E.E.T. Magazine is that it is eco-friendly. They feature natural and organic products in their magazine. (You can learn more about N.E.E.T. HERE!)
Creating this look and finding colors was a fun challenge! I learned about what “3 Free” means which then turned into me doing some research on products I already own. I now know what I’m putting on my nails!
I am really happy with the outcome of the nails. At first, I thought my idea was crazy, but I got so many compliments from strangers and my friends. One of my friends said they reminded her of vintage Christmas ornaments! Love that!!
I wish I could say that vintage ornaments are what inspired this look…but when BHLDN released their winter bridal gowns the day after I was asked to create a look I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I was so inspired by this dress!! Beautiful, right??
You can check out the manicure and instructions on N.E.E.T.’s website HERE. It is featured on pages 162-163.
Let me know what you guys think! Also, be sure to like N.E.E.T. on Facebook and follow them on Twitter to get their latest and greatest updates!
This last week I entered a contest for The Beauty Department to do a nail tutorial for their “Nail It!” contest. It was so much fun to do! When I emailed them my pictures and instructions, I had no idea that I would be chosen as the winner.
They have so many creative followers, and I was looking forward to learning a new manicure that upcoming Wednesday(that’s when they were announcing the winner). I was (and still am) so shocked when I found out they selected my nails. I am SO excited to share this with you!
So…in case you haven’t seen the post on their website be sure to check it out HERE so you can learn how to give yourself a Mixed Metals manicure. :)
I’ve had a few people ask what nail polish I used so I thought I’d share that with you guys!
Dark Gold | 14 karats by Claire Cosmetics
Light Gold | Curry Up Don’t Be Late from OPI’s India Collection
Sparkles | Only Gold For Me by Sephora by OPI
Thanks again to Lauren, Kristien, and Amy for selecting my nails for this guest post!!

My best friend Ashley goes to DBU, and her friend Elisabeth asked if I would be interested in doing photos in my wedding dress. How could I say no?! Especially when she is SUPER talented. I was so excited to do these pictures. My dress was handmade, and I didn’t get it until a week before my wedding so it just never worked out to have my bridals done in time.
Here are a few pictures Ashley took with her phone from the shoot.
We had so much fun together! Elisabeth is so enjoyable and is easily one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She also made it easy to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her instructions were great, and she is such an encourager. Not for one second did I feel uncomfortable or like I was blinking/making awkward faces after every shot. She knows how to make you feel and look pretty!
Here is a sneak peek of the photos she took yesterday!
Be sure to check out more of her work on her website www.elisabethcarol.com.
