I can’t think of a better way to end a blog break (hi/sorry/missed yall!!!) than with a GIVEAWAY! :)
My friend, Melissa Aulds (pictured below), just launched a new website for her STUNNING jewelry line, Luxe in the Rough. A few weeks ago I gathered my friends together to celebrate my 24th birthday in FLOWER style. I had the best time with my friends around me hanging out, wearing flower crowns and eating donuts. ;)
I thought I’d share a few of the pictures from the party. I was really excited to brighten my house up after it being so cold this winter!
I was so excited to finally get around to a project I had put off for way too long. I spray painted this round bird cage. I loved the way the flowers looked inside. I look forward to doing this many more times as Spring and Summer come.
I had so much fun setting up my little photo booth. I used a scarf my best friend got me from India as the background and it was just perfect!

This is my first Music Monday post! I’m not sure how regular these will be but I couldn’t help but join in on the fun to share about my friend, Bethany Stephens. Her name might sound familiar because we did a photo shoot last fall. She was a great model and is a great friend, but today I am so excited to re-introduce her to yall as a musician!
I am so excited to share that Bethany is now in the process of creating a FULL length album. She is raising money to start the studio process and everything that goes along with that. You can read all the details on her donation page HERE.
I know that this album is going to be straight from her heart. If you were to sit down and have a conversation with Bethany RIGHT NOW you would leave that conversation feeling challenged, loved and passionate about the world and Jesus! I believe that’s the way this whole album is going to make you feel.
To get an idea of how the album will sound, here is a song Bethany released as a single last fall called “I Have to Know You” (now on iTunes!!). It became an instant favorite for me. I truly believe that she is a talented musician and songwriter. You can listen to it in the video below!
This last December I decided to host a 31 Bits Holiday House Party. If you remember, in one of my recent Top 5‘s, I was so excited about the new 31 Bits Holiday line. SO! Of course when I found out you can host a party I just had to!
I had so much fun creating a jewelry display and setting up the party. I knew I wanted to feature the jewelry on chalkboard as soon as I signed up to host. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the jewelry to 1) see it all in person and 2) create the display I had envisioned in my head!
Here are a few photos from my party. I loved that I was able to use the chalkboard to make each piece of jewelry shine.
I even had a fun little photo booth set up where a few of my friends got in the Christmas spirit and modeled some of their favorite pieces of 31 Bits jewelry.
I had so much fun hosting a 31 Bits party. Seeing ALL the jewelry in person is definitely an experience that I loved but most of all I loved that I was able to share the story of the 31 Bits women and what the 31 Bits team is doing to change lives. (read the 31 Bits story HERE!!)
This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to Designer Vaca in Palm Springs with 50 incredible female graphic and web designers. Designer Vaca was founded by Alyssa Yuhas and Promise Tangeman in 2012 to create an atmosphere of relaxation and community in the graphic design world for females. (You can read more about their vision HERE.)
I had so much fun getting to meet other women in the graphic design industry. I was so impressed by everyone’s talent and their passions for their careers. I especially enjoyed the panels where we heard from other girls about their experiences and backgrounds.
I’m not even really sure where to start when it comes to sharing my experience there as I still feel like I’m processing all the information and encouragement passed around all weekend. All I know is I am feeling so inspired to push myself in design and to form more relationships. There is nothing quite like a community. Thanks to my new friends, and this community I’ve been introduced to, I feel more than ready to just GO. I’m excited to see where this new desire and push takes me in the next year.
Here are a few photos from my trip.

Be sure to sign up for Designer Vaca’s mailing list to get more information about next year!
1 | Summer Leather
I love the leather trend this summer. It adds the rocker chick vibe to an outfit while still being fun and girly.
2 | Simple Mismatched Necklaces
Maybe I’m a wimp but with the summer heat, sometimes statement jewelry can be too much. I’ve been loving putting together a few of my different simple necklaces to make them come together like a piece of art. Plus since they are light weight it’s like they aren’t even there!
3 | Ban.do iPhone Cases
I am just SO excited about this. I’m already a huge fan of Ban.do so when they announced their iPhone cases I was thrilled. Be sure to check out all of their pretty cases HERE!
4 | Two Tone Mani
I am loving this two tone mani. It’s so simple and easy and works with ANY color that you have two of in different shades.
5 | Vintage Telephone Notepad by Rifle Paper Co. GIVEAWAY!!!
I came across this notepad at one of my local shops and I knew I just had to have it for my office. I loved it so much I decided it would be fun to give one to one of YOU!!!
