1 | 2014 Flip Around the World Desk Calendar
I got this calendar as a Christmas gift from one of my sweet co-workers and it sits next to my computer. I’m convinced Rifle Paper Co can do no wrong. All of the illustrations are beautiful and have my mind ready to travel!
2 | Remodelista
I’m a home decor junkie and this book just has become an instant favorite! My grandmother gave me this book for Christmas and I have LOVED the inspiration it has given me for my home.
3 | Fujifilm INSTAX 210 Instant Photo Camera
My husband and I recently got an INSTAX camera and I LOVE IT. Nothing beats the feeling of holding a picture instantly. I recently took this camera on a photo shoot for a bride and had a blast. I can’t wait to share all the photos soon!
4 | Donut Stationery
If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for a donut whether it on paper or in person. I got this adorable stationery set for my birthday and I think it’s the cutest! Check out more of the cute donut products from Paper Source HERE.
5 | Grey Bow Mirror
I had been eyeing this mirror for about a year and I finally got it! My husband and I decided to simplify our entryway since it’s not very big and I thought this mirror was perfect for the update! Nothing like a giant mirror to make a small space feel bigger. :)
This last December I decided to host a 31 Bits Holiday House Party. If you remember, in one of my recent Top 5‘s, I was so excited about the new 31 Bits Holiday line. SO! Of course when I found out you can host a party I just had to!
I had so much fun creating a jewelry display and setting up the party. I knew I wanted to feature the jewelry on chalkboard as soon as I signed up to host. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the jewelry to 1) see it all in person and 2) create the display I had envisioned in my head!
Here are a few photos from my party. I loved that I was able to use the chalkboard to make each piece of jewelry shine.
I even had a fun little photo booth set up where a few of my friends got in the Christmas spirit and modeled some of their favorite pieces of 31 Bits jewelry.
I had so much fun hosting a 31 Bits party. Seeing ALL the jewelry in person is definitely an experience that I loved but most of all I loved that I was able to share the story of the 31 Bits women and what the 31 Bits team is doing to change lives. (read the 31 Bits story HERE!!)
I’m so excited to share this hair tutorial by my best friend, Ashley Greenwood. A few weeks ago she texted me this new technique she figure out and we knew it just HAD to be shared with everyone.
I LOVE the look of the curls and they really do last all day! It’s also great the next day after a good nights sleep. This look is perfect for everyday, girls night, date night (HINT HINT…Valentines Day is just around the corner!!) the list goes on! Enjoy!!
What you will need:
1″ Curling Iron
Bobby pins galore
1. Start with clean hair. I know it is tempting to try day four hair but the cleaner your hair the more volume and lift you will get. Spray hair with texture spray or hairspray and brush hair out.
2. Start curling your hair with a 1″ barrel (we used hot tools). Focus on the roots first, working your way down down that section of hair.
3. After you complete the curl, loop it back into a curl with your hand and secure with a bobby pin.
4. Repeat until all hair is curled and pinned.
5. Let your hair cool. You can leave it up as long as you want, I like to do my hair first and let the curls set as I do my makeup and get dressed.
6. Remove pins starting at the bottom.
7. Flip hair, run your fingers through strands and style. Viola!

1 | Somerset Pullover
I just love this sweater. It’s casual. It’s cute. It’s perfect. Well, if a sweater can be perfect? :)
2 | Bubble Glass Hurricane
I had been eyeing this candle holder for a while and decided to splurge on it. I’m so glad I did! The glow of the candle through the glass is just perfect! You can see how I’m using it in my house currently right HERE. :)
3 | H&M Sweatshirt
This is one of the THE MOST comfortable sweaters I’ve had in a long time. Confession… I’m thinking of going back soon to get it in every color. It’s one of THOSE kind of perfects.
4 | Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle
This is a birchbox find that I FINALLY got around to trying out. I say FINALLY in all caps because I wish I had used it sooner to know how amazing it is. When I used this product I knew it was working right away. I find that this is perfect to use when I want my hair to look silky and smooth. PLUS it smells amazing. Who doesn’t want “amazing” smelling hair? :)
5 | Tiffany & Co. Mug
My husband has an amazingly bad habit of spoiling me with something from Tiffany & Co. for Christmas every year. This year he decided to spoil me by endorsing one of my new bad habits. Drinking coffee. I am so excited to use my new mug to drink coffee in the mornings! Coffee has never been so elegant.
1 | Dalmatian Print
I have been LOVING Dalmatian Print. I love it in the home, on my shoes, clothes, purses…the list could go on. I have a feeling Dalmatian is going to be the Leopard of 2014…at least in my book. ;)
2 | 31 Bits Holiday Collection
I’ve had my eye on 31 Bits for a while. Not only am I a huge fan of their mission, but I LOVE their jewelry. I believe every woman should on a piece of Jewelry by 31 Bits. ESPECIALLY from their 2013 Holiday line. Check it out here!
3 | Sweater Stocking
Brandon and I made each other stockings when we first started dating and we have used them for the past 5 years. This year I decided we needed matching “grown up” stockings. I’m so happy with what I found at Anthropologie. They are so soft and when the light hits them just right you can see a hint of gold in the fabric.
4 | Be Merry & Bright by Too Faced
I bought this palette on a whim and I’m so glad I did! I love the vibrant colors and how easy they travel. Not only will they come in handy for the holiday parties to come but I’ve also had some fun with my normal “everyday” makeup. :)
5 | Dove’s Dry Shampoo
My best friend introduced me to this Dry Shampoo a few weeks ago and it’s my new favorite. It smells great and gives great volume to my hair. I feel like the bonus to this dry shampoo is the design.
Quick Tip from Ashley: Apply to roots and let it sit for a few minutes before rubbing it in with your fingertips.
1 | Mega Effects Mascara by AVON
I have been so impressed by this mascara! I love that the brush is designed to go from root to tip. I’m also impressed with how easily the mascara washes off when I take off my make up. I don’t find leftover clumps on my eyelashes or hard to wash off “raccoon eyes”. Another plus, this is only $10! Pretty great for fancy mascara. ;)
2 | Prize Candle
This went on my Christmas list the moment I heard about it. How cute are these Prize Candles?! A Prize Candle is a candle that has a ring in the middle of it. (see how it works HERE) The rings are BEAUTIFUL and you can check to see what the ring appraises for on their website. The website says they can be worth anywhere from $10 to $5,000!
3 | Live Creatively Mug by Lindsay Letters
As you probably know by now I’m a huge Lindsay Letters fan! I love the gold type and inspirational phrase to inspire me as I get ready every morning.
4 | Sparkle Cable Knit Pillar Candle
These candles are so perfect and so cozy. I know it’s not *quite* time to decorate for Christmas but these aren’t TOO Christmas-y right? :)
5 | Camping
My husband and I just went on our first camping trip together and it was so much FUN. He had been counting down the days for our Texas weather to finally cool down and when it did we planned our first free weekend to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. I plan on making this a fun family tradition that we can pass on to our children someday!
