apartment-tour-1

I am so excited to share this apartment tour of my best friend and her roomie’s STUNNING apartment! Ashley and Taylor dreamed up the perfect apartment and brought it to life on a budget!

I had always admired Ashley and Taylor’s style even before they collaborated to create such a beautiful space. With the inspiration of Kate Spade to Anthropolgie every detail in their apartment is uniquely beautiful.

Meet Ashley (RIGHT) and Taylor (LEFT). These two lovely ladies are just as cool, creative, and beautiful as their apartment. Be sure to follow them on on Pinterest to see more decorating ideas that inspire them!

Now let’s begin the tour. :)

Let’s start in the living room. The couch, pillows, and mirror are the first thing you see when you walk in. All of the gold is perfection and the fuzzy pillows and shape of the couch just add to their cozy/glam look. My favorite thing about the mirror is that Ashley said she grew up with it in her family’s home. The lamps were goodwill finds that they spray painted gold. Pillows were a mix of Garden Ridge, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls.

As soon as you take in the beauty of the living room you really can’t help but notice and admire the stunning dining area! All the metallics and tufted chairs welcome you right in to sit down for a meal. The mirror is from Garden Ridge, the chairs are from World Market, and the gold polka dot vase is a DIY Taylor made.

This bar cart is a part of their dining room but it deserves it’s own special shout out! They found this bar cart at Goodwill for $20. Let me repeat that … TWENTY DOLLARS. Such a steal. It was brass when they got it and they added a fresh coat of gold spray paint to tie it into the rest of their space. All accessories on the cart are TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

A styled apartment is never complete without fresh donuts. Great job, girls!!

I love that their media center is simple and fun! Full of decorating/styling books with a fun banner above the TV from etsy! (Here’s a link to something similar.)

Welcome to Taylor’s bedroom! I just love how cozy it is as soon as you walk in. Her color palette is warm and inviting plus she has one of those beds you just want to jump on/nap in for hours!

Ashley’s bedroom is the perfect amount of eclectic while still being clean and cozy. I love all the white and silver pillows and her DIY black and white striped curtains.

Ashley’s bathroom is everything you could want in a stylish and functional bathroom. From her beautiful perfume bottle displays to her awesome acrylic nail polish rack and cosmetic organizer you just can’t help but be inspired.

jillian-edwards-1

I recently got to travel to Nashville and while I was there I was able to meet up with Jillian Edwards to take some photos. About a month ago I did a photo shoot with her twin brother, Cole, and his wife, Caitlin. (Shoutout to Caitlin for the introducing Jillian and I so we could meet up and take photos!!) I knew I wanted to do a photo shoot while I was in the Nashville area to capture the beauty Tennessee has to offer and Jillian was the perfect model!

Jillian is an incredibly talented singer/songwriter based out of Nashville. From the moment I met her I could tell she is just as sweet as her music! I got to listen to her newest album (Daydream) while editing her photos which made the editing process all the more fun. :)

Be sure to check out Jillian’s music and follow her on twitter, instagram, and facebook!

PS – I want to thank Amy Nicole Photography (an amazing Nashville photographer) for suggesting this beautiful Franklin location! It was absolutely perfect!

1 | Kimonos

I don’t really consider my style to be “boho” but I love the femininity of kimonos. I found the kimono jackpot at Forever 21 this past weekend. You should definitely check it out!

2 | All Wrapped Up Card Set by Kate Spade

Kate Spade has done it again with their beautiful stationary! I’m a sucker for anything gold, striped, pink and with bows.

3 | Crop Tops

Honestly, I was a little scared of the crop top because THAT IS SO 90’s!!!! But, Pinterest and friends have proved that fear wrong. I probably wont actually try this trend until it gets closer to summer but I’ve been keeping my eyes open for them when I go shopping because you never know when you’ll find the perfect one!

4 | Flash Bobbi Set

Bando is every girl’s best friend when it comes to her hair. I love their bobbi sets! Sometimes I forget how cute bobbi pins can be and I love that Bando has brought them back.

5 | Revlon ColorBursts

My best friend got me hooked on these. I’ve loved every shade I’ve gotten so far. My favorite by far though is “Showy Flamboyante” from their Matte line. I have picked most of mine out at Target because I usually find them 5-15% off using their Cartwheel app!

A few weeks ago I gathered my friends together to celebrate my 24th birthday in FLOWER style. I had the best time with my friends around me hanging out, wearing flower crowns and eating donuts. ;)

I thought I’d share a few of the pictures from the party. I was really excited to brighten my house up after it being so cold this winter!

I was so excited to finally get around to a project I had put off for way too long. I spray painted this round bird cage. I loved the way the flowers looked inside. I look forward to doing this many more times as Spring and Summer come.

I had so much fun setting up my little photo booth. I used a scarf my best friend got me from India as the background and it was just perfect!

Today I would like to introduce you to two of my co-workers, Lee Ann and Bryan, or as I like to call them, Brylee. This last Friday Bryan got down on one knee and asked Lee Ann to be his wife. (AHHHH!!)

I am beyond happy for this couple!!! A week ago today everyone (except Lee Ann, of course!) at the office received an email from Bryan filling us in on his sweet plans. I couldn’t even finish reading the first paragraph due to my excitement. Basically, since their relationship started at the office he wanted to ask her to take the next step at the office. Cue. Tears.

It’s been such an honor to be able to watch their relationship blossom over this past year. He’s tall. She’s short. He’s quiet. She’s the bubbliest person you’ll ever meet. I love how they truly bring out the best in each other. Excuse the cheesiness in me but … they complete each other!!!

Having had a few days in advance I knew I wanted to take some photos of their proposal so I just HAVE to share them with you. &&& you better believe I brought the instax camera to get that special moment on film.

This is my first Music Monday post! I’m not sure how regular these will be but I couldn’t help but join in on the fun to share about my friend, Bethany Stephens. Her name might sound familiar because we did a photo shoot last fall. She was a great model and is a great friend, but today I am so excited to re-introduce her to yall as a musician!

I am so excited to share that Bethany is now in the process of creating a FULL length album. She is raising money to start the studio process and everything that goes along with that. You can read all the details on her donation page HERE.

I know that this album is going to be straight from her heart. If you were to sit down and have a conversation with Bethany RIGHT NOW you would leave that conversation feeling challenged, loved and passionate about the world and Jesus! I believe that’s the way this whole album is going to make you feel.

To get an idea of how the album will sound, here is a song Bethany released as a single last fall called “I Have to Know You” (now on iTunes!!). It became an instant favorite for me. I truly believe that she is a talented musician and songwriter. You can listen to it in the video below!
